Precious was living on a community farm when I found her. I didn’t realise until much later that the reason she was so overweight was that she was being fed mouldy white sliced bread that had been stored in plastic sacks. Because she was alone, she cried (pigs are herd animals & very sociable!) so they gave her more & more mouldy bread. The vet said she was 100 kg overweight but malnourished. She is so adorable & loves a tummy rub having, as a piglet, been kept in a house as a mini pig!!
